Privacy policy
This policy explains what Revealscape stores, what Google may process for limited advertising, and the choices available to you.
Revealscape has no player accounts and no developer-operated analytics backend. Game progress is stored locally and is not sent to a developer server. The game uses limited Google Mobile Ads with data-reducing settings.
1. Who is responsible
Revealscape is operated by an independent developer, who is responsible for information handled directly by Revealscape, including support correspondence. Google, Proton, and Cloudflare process certain information under their own terms and privacy policies. For privacy questions or requests, use the support.revealscape@proton.me.
2. Data stored on your device
The game stores the following information locally so it can work:
- progress, unlocked levels, scores, records, and collectibles;
- language, audio, motion, vibration, accessibility, and tutorial preferences; and
- optional reminder settings and local notification schedules; and
- temporary game state needed to resume normal play.
Revealscape does not send this local game data to a developer server. You can remove it by deleting the app and its data from your device. Depending on your device settings, Apple may include app data in a device or iCloud backup; Apple controls those backups under its own terms and settings.
3. Limited advertising
Revealscape uses Google Mobile Ads for two limited placements: a rewarded video you may choose after a loss, and an interstitial that may appear before every third play attempt in a session. Rewarded ads are optional. No ad is required for progression, there are no banners, and ads are never shown during active gameplay.
Google may process information such as:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device or advertising identifiers, depending on platform settings and consent;
- app and ad interactions, such as launches, ads or videos viewed, and taps; and
- diagnostic, crash, and performance information.
Revealscape requests non-personalized ads, marks ad requests as child-directed, tells Google's consent platform that users are under the age of consent, limits content to Google's General rating, and disables Google's publisher first-party identifier. Revealscape does not request precise location, Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, or IDFA access. These settings reduce data use; they do not mean that Google processes no information.
Read the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps.
4. Consent and privacy choices
At launch, Google's User Messaging Platform updates the device's privacy status and, where required, asks for or records a privacy choice before Google permits an ad request. When Google requires a persistent privacy entry point, you can reopen it from Settings → Privacy & ads inside the game.
A privacy choice never blocks levels, retries, the map, or any other core feature. Depending on the region and choice, Google may still permit limited non-personalized ads. If Google says ads may not be requested, or if network access or ad inventory is unavailable, the game continues normally without an ad. You can also review Google-wide ad controls in My Ad Center.
5. Messages you send us
If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachment you choose to send. We use that information only to answer you, troubleshoot the game, or investigate an ad report.
Support email is hosted by Proton, which processes email under its privacy policy. We may share the minimum necessary ad-report details with Google when needed to investigate. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
6. Children and families
Revealscape is designed for players aged eight and older and for family use. The game does not ask for a name, birth date, account, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone access. Ad requests use child-directed treatment and the General content rating; Google's consent platform is separately told that users are under the age of consent.
A parent or guardian can contact us about any privacy concern involving a child.
7. Retention and deletion
- Local game data remains until the app data is removed, subject to Apple backup settings.
- Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, troubleshoot, maintain security, comply with law, or resolve a dispute. It is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
- Google determines retention for data processed by Google Mobile Ads under its own policies.
To request deletion of a support conversation, use the support.revealscape@proton.me. Limited information may be retained where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
8. Regional rights and international processing
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Contact us for support information we control. Use the in-game privacy choices or Google's controls for advertising data handled by Google.
Google may process information in countries other than your own, as described in its privacy policy.
9. This website
This legal and support site is static. It has no account, contact form, advertising, or developer-operated analytics. Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and may process an IP address, browser or device information, request metadata, and security events under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
10. Security and policy changes
Revealscape minimizes collection by keeping progress local and operating without player accounts. No system is completely risk-free, but we limit access to support messages and use established service providers.
This policy may be updated when the game, its advertising setup, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
